The celebration of the African Children’s Day.
The Dialogue and Participation Forum for Development, representing the Egyptian Coalition for Child Rights and the Arab Network for Child Rights “Manara,” participated in the celebration of the African Children’s Day.
Held in the city of Lusaka – Zambia.. during the period from 14 to 16 June 2023 at the headquarters of the African Union in the city of Lusaka.
Where the children of Egypt and North Africa were represented by Omar Islam
A two-day workshop was held to raise awareness of children’s rights and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, followed by the third and main day of the continental celebration of the Day of the African Child.
The celebration and workshop witnessed the active participation of the Egyptian child / Omar Islam, and some questions and inquiries related to children’s rights in Africa regarding the digital environment were directed to a number of officials, especially from UNICEF, the African Union Children’s Committee, and the Zambian government.
