History
The FDPD is a non-governmental development organization that does not aim at generating profit. It is a positively neutral organization without performing any confiscations on the member’s opinions. FDPD works within the framework of diversity, pluralism, accepting the other and interact with them to support human rights, citizenship and working to achieve the institutional change required to set the basics of dialogue and participation in the Egyptian community. Also, it will overcome the weakness of participation mechanisms.
A community in which the culture of dialogue and community participation is deeply rooted and where values and appropriate practices are deepened to achieve sustainable development.
- Empower the Egyptian citizen and train him on the best use of dialogue and participation aspects to reach the best vision of community issues.
- Establish a link between the competent authorities and community segments according to issues that concern the majority.
- Draw the attention of decision makers to marginalized groups, present their problems, diagnose, and determine the causing factors and means of solving it, using the scientific approach based on dialogue, social survey and discussion.
- Raise community awareness of the dangers of ignoring the rights of marginalized groups including youth, children, women and elderly and disregarding their legal existence.
- Establish ties between the Forum and other NGOs, concerned with common issues, on one hand and the donors on the other hand.
- Develop a database of the information and genres that deal with social issues within the unity of scientific research.
