The Global Environment Facility – Small Grants Program in Egypt held a major celebration in a Cairo hotel in the presence of the Ministers:
Mrs. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, “Her Excellency the Minister of Environment”
Mrs. Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, “Her Excellency Minister of Social Solidarity”
Mr. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, “His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports”
Mr. Major General Hisham Amna, “His Excellency the Minister of Local Development”
This is to award 16 civil society organizations that won grants provided by the program in its seventh phase.
The Forum for Dialogue and Participation for Development won the project “Sustainable Local Youth Communities,” which will be implemented over a period of 12 months.
It is worth noting that the project aims to achieve the principles of sustainable development and reduce the effects of climate change, to provide opportunities for practicing sports and community activities within environmentally friendly youth centres, by creating four youth centers in four neighborhoods/neighborhood areas in three governorates: “Cairo – Giza – Alexandria”, in an effort to implement models of sustainable local youth centers and communities.
