The impact of the Corona pandemic on children’s rights in the Arab world
Within the framework of the global celebration of Children’s Day, the results of the research study on the impact of the Corona pandemic on children’s rights in the Arab world were announced. The Forum for Dialogue and Participation for Development was organized by a representative of the Egyptian Coalition for Child Rights in cooperation with the Arab Network for Child Rights (Manara) in Cairo on November 23, with the participation of A number of 15 boys and girls, with the participation of representatives of 8 Arab countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Mauritania. A conference to launch the regional study with the participation of children on the impact of the Corona pandemic on children’s rights in the Arab world, under the slogan (Working for Protection and Education), and in the presence of Ambassador Jihad Madi, a member of the International Committee for Human Rights. Children at the International Council for Human Rights, in the presence of Ms. Nourhan Abdel Aziz, representative of the regional office of Save the Children in Egypt and the Arab world, and with the participation of Ms. Cecilia Nikama, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations to combat violence against children, with the participation of many civil society associations, public figures, and members of the Egyptian Parliament.
